Back for 2023!

Cleveland Ballet showcases the jewel in their season as the company returns to the Connor Palace Theatre this winter with their glorious take on the holiday favorite. Prepare to be swept up in E.T.A. Hoffman's classic Christmas tale, complete with choreography from Artistic Director and co-founder Gladisa Guadalupe, set to Tchaikovsky's glittering score. Alongside wonderful sets and sparkling costumes, join Clara and her Nutcracker Prince as they set off on an unforgettable adventure, one that'll have the whole family entranced from the opening scene!

WHAT THE IS NUTCRACKER ABOUT?

It's Christmas Eve and not a creature is stirring, not even a mouse... Except for Clara that is. The little girl at the center of the story creeps downstairs to check on her newest toy, a Nutcracker given to her by her uncle but cruelly broken by her mischievous little brother. Much to her surprise, when the clock strikes midnight, the Nutcracker comes to life! Together they enter an enchanted world where they battle a fearsome Mouse King and dance with the Sugarplum fairy - all in a hard day's Christmas Eve night.
